Nebeus offers Free Insured Vault/Cold Storage for secure storage of Bitcoin and Ethereum. Here's how our insured vaults work:

  1. Deposit: When you deposit funds into the Nebeus vault, they are automatically sent to BitGo, one of the leading crypto custodians globally.

  2. Cold Storage: BitGo securely stores your funds in a cold wallet, which is physically placed in a bank-grade Class III secured vault. This ensures the highest level of protection for your cryptocurrencies.

  3. Insurance Coverage: Your funds stored in the Nebeus insured vault are protected by Lloyd's of London for up to $250 million. This insurance coverage safeguards your funds against risks such as third-party hacks, copying, loss, theft of private keys, insider theft, and the failure of a centralized platform's business.

  4. Withdrawal Process: When you request to withdraw your funds, BitGo performs identity verification and generates a transaction that requires offline signing using Multi-Sig technology. This process enhances security and accountability.

  5. Co-Signing and Transfer: After the offline transaction is signed, BitGo co-signs it, and the funds are transferred. Due to the rigorous security measures in place, the withdrawal process can take up to 48 hours to be completed.

  2. This solution differs from decentralized finance (DeFi) as Nebeus retains control of the keys to the cold wallets on BitGo.
